Lavender One of my favorite herbs

To start off I am not a doctor or in the medical field. Everything that I have written I have learned from doing my own research. Researching and learning new things especially when I find out the awesome health benefits from it makes me so intrigued to want to know more. I enjoy pouring my knowledge into helping other reach their personal goals.

Lavender has so many benefits. There are so many different varieties of this beautiful flower. From my experience a lot of people just use lavender in their yards just for the landscaping to make their yards look beautiful. Holistically lavender can be drunk as a tea hot or cold. Lavender is great for inflammation. It has a nice flower taste that is not too strong. It is a acquired taste you either like it or you don't. I used to add sugar to it when I first started making it. However now I just make a pitcher unsweetened sometimes adding a fresh lemon to the pot when boiling. I also pair It with regular tea bags and boil them together on the stove. Dog shampoo even has lavender in it. I have purchased shampoo for my dog, and it puts her straight to sleep after her bath. I will soon be making my own version of dog shampoo.

As I stated earlier there are many holistic uses for lavender. Lavender can be used in oils, shampoos, conditioners for hair growth. It can have a calming effect on people by changing their mood and helping them to sleep. It can also be used to treat depression, restlessness, and insomnia. It can be eaten in foods such like salads, stews and gravies. I have never tried it in my foods. It can also be used to treat wounds, scrapes and burns. I use it a lot in my products. When I go to events, I have people that come to my table looking just for my lavender products. They know exactly what they want.

When lavender is applied to the skin in a cream it can help with skin conditions for ex. ringworms, athletic feet and acne breakouts. It also helps with pain including toothaches, toothaches and arthritis. The first time that I drunk lavender tea it took away the pain that I was having in my shoulder. From what I read you can also inhale the essential oils and should have the same effect on the body. Lavender is a great antioxidant. There are so many antioxidants. Antioxidants help your body get rid of things your body does not need. Some examples are high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes. Lavender also help those that have UDI's. I personally enjoy the smell, taste and the many benefits of this flower herb. Lavender is not to be used with women that are pregnant. As with anything try it in small doses to see how it affects your body. I have been using lavender now for about almost 2 years now.
