Carrots and Carrot Oil

Carrots are very good for your body inside and out. Carrots are full of vitamins such as niacin, B6 and C. I can eat them cooked or raw. Carrots have beta carotene that is good for your vision. They are also good for a person's blood pressure, weight management, improve a person immune system and reduce heart disease. It also fights some cancers.  Most people eat carrot cake. Have you ever had carrots with a lit honey, cinnamon and butter. Put those ingredients together and let them simmer down and OMG. This is so good for you, and it takes your sweet tooth away if you have one. Something else that I enjoy is carrot salad and cabbage and carrots cooked and mixed together. I have also added it to my smoothies. Basically, I enjoy the taste of carrots and the benefits that it has for us. I have been making carrot oil for years for me and my family. Carrot oil is good for hair growth just like other ingredients found in the kitchen. At the same time, it is good for dry skin and h...

Basil has many daily uses

Most people just think that it is good on foods like spaghetti, lasagna, pizza and other foods in that category.  Basil is in the mint family. It is another antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. There are many varieties of basil including cinnamon, genovese, sweet, holy, lemon, purple, greek, dark opal, green, lettuce, African blue, spicy global, napoletano and summerlong. Basil is full of calcium, magnesium, vitamin K (blood clotting, bone health) and A (eyes), Manganese (helps the body form tissue, bones, clotting and sex hormones) iron, zinc and potassium. Most people think that calcium is just in dairy products. We can also get calcium from eating greens and certain herbs like basil. I have personally tried to grow basil and I just could not get it to grow. I still love to eat it and put it in my foods on a daily basis.  I love salad and always put it in my...

Yes, please to ginger

Ginger grows out the ground as a root. It is related to cardamon and tumeric. The root  has so many uses. It is also an antioxidant. The skin on it is very thin. You can actually get a spoon and scrap the skin off. You can use a knife but that will remove too much of the actual ginger itself. Once you have peeled the ginger it is ready to be used. Ginger is very stringy. Meaning it has a lot of strings in it if you trying grating it up. There are numerous uses for ginger. It can be boiled as a tea, it can be used for hair growth, it can be used as a seasoning on meats and vegetables, it can be used in desserts. Also it is great in drinks and smoothies. At the same time it can be drunk if you have indigestion or heart burn instead of buying over the counter medicine.  I have seen and tasted ginger candy. I am not a fan of the candy. It is good if a person is suffering from nausea or upset stomach. The root can boost a persons immune system. It is great if you feel a cold/flu...
