Yes, please to ginger

Ginger grows out the ground as a root. It is related to cardamon and tumeric. The root  has so many uses. It is also an antioxidant. The skin on it is very thin. You can actually get a spoon and scrap the skin off. You can use a knife but that will remove too much of the actual ginger itself. Once you have peeled the ginger it is ready to be used. Ginger is very stringy. Meaning it has a lot of strings in it if you trying grating it up.

There are numerous uses for ginger. It can be boiled as a tea, it can be used for hair growth, it can be used as a seasoning on meats and vegetables, it can be used in desserts. Also it is great in drinks and smoothies. At the same time it can be drunk if you have indigestion or heart burn instead of buying over the counter medicine.

I have seen and tasted ginger candy. I am not a fan of the candy. It is good if a person is suffering from nausea or upset stomach. The root can boost a persons immune system. It is great if you feel a cold/flu  coming on. It is also great if you are have allergies. It can open up your nose if it's stopped up.

I have eaten food that contains ginger when I am in pain. It is especially good to eat during menstruation. It is also good for lowering cholesterol levels. It has to be taken for a certain length of time. The change in numbers will not be immediately.

I personally boil a big pot and let it sit on the stove covered up for 2 days. The longer it sits the more the ginger seasons the water. Once I am ready to use it I pour it in a pitcher and sit it in the fridge. Sometimes I add a fresh squeeze lemon when I have it. The water can be drunk daily. It is a fat burner and helps you to lose weight.  It has a cleaning/detox effect on the body.

It is also good to drink it if you feel like you have a cold or sinus issues. If you take ginger over a certain period of time. it can help with a person's diabetes numbers. Also if a person gets infections especially fungus infections it can help improve that. Ginger to me is another great herb. Some people don't like the taste but I love it. It very hot like pepper. You either like it or you don't.

I like the taste of the ginger. I use the fresh and the powder. In my opinion fresh is best but powder will work as well. I have also seen ginger juice in the health foods isle in grocery stores. I have personally made ginger oil. I have never seen ginger oil in the store but I am sure they sell it somewhere.

One of my favorite desserts to use it with is gingerbread. When I make this dessert I use the fresh and the powder. I also make a drink that my family loves with the ginger and pineapple.

When starting something new start off in moderation.
